FASTEKS FILKO® – BLIND RIVET NUTS

are single-part hollow-thread nuts which are installed ‘blind’ from a single side without the need for reworking. They therefore represent an efficient and impressive solution. Generally used for screw connections, they can also be applied in a combination of riveting and additional screw fastenings. A resilient thread is produced as a result, especially on thin components and hollow sections. The pronounced rivet beading on the rear side guarantees a high tear-out strength.

Advantages:

  • Can be set from one side – "blind application"
  • Can be used as a blind rivet or blind rivet nut
  • High tear-out strength thanks to sturdy rivet bulge
  • Can also be used on parts already surface-treated
  • Extensive range of head designs and materials
  • Rational installation by hand or with hydro-pneumatic tools

TYPES OF BLIND RIVET NUTS

Blind rivet nuts with round shank

Blind rivet nuts with round shank represent the universal solution for general applications. Our extensive range offers a wide variety of designs with respect to materials and head and shank designs.

Design:

  • Round shank
  • Open / closed
  • Flat head / countersunk head (various designs)

Material:

  • Steel, galvanised, thick coat passivated (RoHS-compliant)
  • Stainless steel A2 or A4

Thread sizes:

  • M3 - M4 - M5 - M6 - M8 – M10 – M12

Blind rivet nuts with knurled shank

If there are particular requirements in respect of resistance to twisting, we recommend the use of blind rivet nuts with a knurled shank. Blind rivet nuts with knurled shank should however only be used in relatively soft materials.

Design:

  • With knurled shank
  • Open / closed
  • Flat head / countersunk head (various designs)

Material:

  • Steel, galvanised, thick coat passivated (RoHS-compliant)
  • Stainless steel A2 or A4

Thread sizes:

  • M3 - M4 - M5 - M6 - M8 – M10 – M12

Blind rivet nuts with hexagon shank

Blind rivet nuts with hexagon shank are used in places where enhanced resistance to twisting is required and – provided it is technically possible – this is always the best solution.

Design:

  • With hexagon shank
  • Open / closed
  • Flat head / countersunk head (various designs)

Material:

  • Steel, galvanised, thick coat passivated (RoHS-compliant)
  • Stainless steel A2 or A4

Thread sizes:

  • M3 - M4 - M5 - M6 - M8 – M10 – M12

Blind rivet screws

A high-strength threaded stud can be set in various materials by using a steel blind rivet screw.

Design:

Material:

  • Steel, galvanised, thick coat passivated (RoHS-compliant)
  • Stainless steel A2

Thread sizes:

  • M4 - M5 - M6 - M8

Blind nuts

The flat head blind nut damps shocks and vibrations in the connections of building elements. The connecting element consists of a neoprene body and an embedded brass nut.

Design:

  • Flat head
  • Large flat head

Material:

  • Neoprene / threaded brass insert

Thread sizes:

  • M3 - M4 - M5 - M6 - M8
