Tubtara® – BLIND RIVET NUTS

Tubtara® blind rivet nuts convince as one-piece threaded hollow rivets that are set "blind" from one side, efficiently and without reworking. They represent an economical solution for the assembly of captive threads, even for applications in which the back of the plate is not accessible.

FEATURES

This kind of resilient thread is convicning especially on the thin components and hollow profile. The pronounced rivet bulge guarantees high pull-out strength. The Tubtara® blind rivet nuts are essentially available in three head shapes (flat head, countersunk head and small countersunk head) and three shank shapes (round shank, knurled shank and hexagonal shank) as well as open and closed.

  • One-sided assembly as a blind rivet nut
  • High tear-out strength thanks to the pronounced rivet bulge
  • Can be used on parts that have already been surface-treated
  • Large deliverable offer of heads, shank shapes and materials
  • Efficient processing with hand or hydropneumatic tools
  • Stable clamping force

Blind rivet nuts with round shank

Tubtara® open end rivet nuts are used to bring in a strong and reliable thread into thin or thick metal plates/profiles, composites, or plastics where thread forming is either not possible because the material is too thin/weak/brittle or too hard for thread forming. Rivet nuts from Tubtara® also can be used for on site repair and maintenance work.

    Applications

  • Aerospace
  • Automotive and EV
  • White goods
  • Electronics
  • General industrial
  • Railways
  • Food
  • HVAC
  • Chemicals
  • Marine and offshore
  • Medical
  • Truck and trailer
  • Agricultural and construction equipment

    Features

  • One-side installation
  • Low costs for assembly versus thread forming in sheets and profiles
  • Possible to install in any application for sheet metal or composite
  • Easy assembly saves operational cost
  • Permanent mechanical fastening
  • Protect workpiece without deformation or damage when assembled
  • Available in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel (304 & 316)
  • Can be installed even in close-to-edge applications
  • Tubtara® rivet nuts are available with hexagonal, round, and knurled bodies
  • If there is no standard solution suitable, Tubtara® can design and produce special blind rivet nuts to fit in your application (for example: Multigrip rivet nuts, big head rivet nuts, extra-long rivet nuts…)
Tubtara-Closed-End-Rivet-Nut

Blind rivet nuts with closed end

Tubtara® closed end rivet nuts are used to bring in a strong and reliable thread into thin or thick metal plates/profiles, composites, or plastics where thread forming is either not possible because the material is too thin/weak/brittle or too hard for thread forming. The huge benefit of closed end rivet nuts is that they can ensure water/gas tightness up to IP67 and IP68.

Tubtara-Special-Rivet-Nuts

Special blind rivet nuts

Tubtara® special/customized rivet nuts are used to bring in a strong and reliable thread into thin or thick metal plates/profiles, composites, or plastics where thread forming is either not possible because the material is too thin/weak/brittle or too hard for thread forming. The rivet nuts can be individually adjusted to your application needs. Dependent on your application requirements, together with our knowledge and the R&D department of Tubtara® we can suit the needs of almost every application.

In the past Tubtara® developed for example rivet nuts with...

  • increased torque to turn resistance
  • spacer functions
  • visual identification
  • controlled deformation to fit into plastic and composite applications
  • higher grip ranges
  • high vibration resistance to secure the screw from not falling out
